Russian Aerospace Forces successfully launch Angara-1.2 carrier rocket from Plesetsk cosmodrome
On Thursday, 23 April, at 11:29 (Moscow time), a combat crew of the Russian Aerospace Forces successfully launched an Angara-1.2 light-class carrier rocket with spacecraft in the interest of the Russian Defence Ministry from the State Test Cosmodrome (Plesetsk Cosmodrome) of the Russian Defence Ministry in Arkhangelsk region.
The launch of the carrier rocket into the calculated orbit proceeded as planned. After the launch, the Angara-1.2 light carrier rocket was escorted by the ground-based automated control system of the Titov Main Test and Space Systems Control Centre.
At the estimated time, space vehicles reached final orbits and were taken over by ground-based means of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
A stable telemetry link has been established and endorsed with spacecraft, its on-board systems are functioning properly.
